Ali Abbas
Ali Abbas’s journey began in Pakistan with a strong technical foundation in software engineering and a curiosity about how technology can create real-world impact. That curiosity led him to South Korea, where he earned a Master’s in Computer Engineering and explored the role of artificial intelligence in digital pathology — work that revealed the transformative potential of data and machine learning in healthcare.
His focus now is on advancing AI and large language models to drive positive social change. Ali brings a blend of technical expertise and a human-centred perspective, aiming to make emerging technologies not only powerful but also accessible and ethical.
Achievements
- Turned his fascination with “how computers work” into a career in computer engineering
- Moved abroad for his studies, learned to navigate a new culture, new food, and new expectations, growth truly happened outside the comfort zone.
- Before learning balance, Ali was constantly overwhelmed; now he value progress over perfection and enjoy the process more.
- Publishing his first research paper as first author after several setbacks and late nights.
- Taught himself programming by breaking more projects than he built — and loved every mistake along the way.
In my own words…
Good AI starts with people, not just code. My work focuses on building systems that let communities talk to their data and drive meaningful social innovation.
