Kacy Lovelace
Kacy grew up in a small town in Ohio, with a lifelong love of learning and a deep curiosity about how people seek and share knowledge. With degrees in literature and library science, Kacy built a career around connecting people with ideas, skills, and opportunities. As a Research and Student Success Librarian at Marshall University, Kacy taught digital ethics, information literacy, and life design thinking, while also creating a graduate course on Ethical Librarianship.
Kacy’s work extended into civic engagement, art exhibitions, and cross-sector innovation - partnering with local and global organisations to co-design human-centred solutions. As a trained Innovation Catalyst, she helped reimagine services and programmes through design thinking, always with a focus on social justice and inclusion.
As a Datavyst, Kacy’s PhD seeks to co-create the future of data and AI for good through social innovation, meaningful careers, and the power of collective intelligence.
