
Weronika Szpak
A social sciences enthusiast with a flair for interdisciplinarity, Weronika holds a Master’s in Economic Data Analytics from Poznań University of Economics and Business, alongside dual Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Economics. Weronika's research blends mixed methods and multiple perspectives — driven by a lifelong curiosity about the natural and social forces shaping our world.
Weronika's recent work includes a research fellowship exploring the entrepreneurial orientation of NGOs in Poland during the COVID-19 pandemic, sparking a lasting interest in the third sector, social innovation, and civil society.
Outside academia, Weronika is a culture lover, avid reader, and concert-goer. She hikes with her partner and their whippet, Mrówka (“Ant”), enjoys cooking, and plays badminton. Weronika is also a proud Iga Świątek superfan.
Achievements
- Funded as part of a National Science Centre in Poland grant to research ‘Entrepreneurial orientation of Polish and Czech NGOs during a pandemic’
- Published an article about precarious employment in the third sector during the COVID-19 pandemic
- Perfected the recipe for her signature breakfast – ciabatta with grilled peaches, halloumi cheese and special sauce
- Hiked through Góry Izerskie with her partner and their dog
